What colors are available?
Redwood - reddish brown
Grey - light blue grey
What is it made from?
Polypropylene resin, recycled wood fiber and post consumer recycled
HDPE plastics (milk, shampoo & other plastic bottles).
What is the shrinkage rating per board?
Thermal expansion is approximately 1/16" per 20 feet. We recommend
1/8" gap for ends. For water runoff we recommend 1/8"
on the sides.
How do I cut  Deck?
Use a coarse carbide-tipped combination blade. All wood working
tools will work.
What sizes and lengths are available?
12', 16' & 20' decking
What kind of fasteners should be used?
2 ½" long treated composite wood deck screws.
Do I need to drill a pilot hole before fastening?
No, because of the foamed core it is not necessary.
Does Deck provide
good traction?
Yes, excellent traction BOTH wet & dry. In fact, better than
wood. This is due to a combination of product formulation and our
embossed grain surface.
Do small air pockets and core imperfections affect the performance
of Deck?
No. The structural integrity and overall performance of Bella Decking
is primarily dependent upon formulation of the skin. Any incidental
void or un-meltable in the core will not affect the overall performance.
Hollow vs. foam core composite decking?
Foam core does not require pre-drilling. It's easier to work with,
weighs less, has less deflection and leaves no open areas where
moisture can collect.

Is Deck maintenance-free?
No, it will require periodic cleaning just like wood. However, it
doesn't have to be stained or sealed.
Will the color on every board be the same as material made at
different times?
No, color variation is intrinsic to the recovered wood fiber we
make it from
What are the main differences between 
Decking and other composite decking products?
1) It's natural looking grain and color
2) Full 2X6 profile that is flat and square
3) It's load carrying capacity on 24" OC joists
Does Deck weigh more
or less than typical lumber?
2.5 lbs./ft (2X6 profile) - slightly more than green lumber but
as much as 30% less than other composites.
Can Deck be painted
or Stained?
Yes, but it is not recommended.
Can I use sandpaper to remove stains?
Not recommended.
Can I use Decking for
stair treads?
Yes, Bella has been tested for center and edge load for stair treads.
Will the product fade?
The colors fade about 10%. This process takes approximately 16 weeks.
Can I power wash my deck?
Yes, up to 1500 psi. @ 150 º f.
Will insects damage
Deck decking?
No, it is too dense.
Will Deck rot, splinter,
or decay like wood?
No, Bella Decking outperforms wood in most cases.
How should I store Deck
before installation?
Decking should be kept covered, on a flat surface until ready to
